The Background Data

We built a full service advertising agency in 1993, primarily serving larger privately owned companies in small and medium markets across Ontario, Canada.  The service offering included category exclusivity which created tremendous client trust and confidentiality.  It was an honour that clients would involve us in significant business decisions.

That agency sold after 20 years of ownership, and is still in operation today.

The next stage was joining an international business consulting firm located in Vancouver and running a remote branch in Fort St John, BC.

The consulting and coaching model provides the tools to comprehensively build (or re-build) any business.  Clients then have the option to;

a) transition it to a family member

b) successfully attract the ultimate buyer

c) or keep their business, now that it's running at maximum efficiency.

 

A golf course purchase was next in 2015. Advertised as a turn-key operation, it turns out the only thing that was "turn-key" was the 1956 lock on the front door. 

Nothing documented.  No systems.  No measurable data.

With a plan to sell in 5 years, we completely overhauled and systemized the company, providing a true turn-key measurable operation to the new owner.

We attracted a buyer and handed off the keys. It was 5 years (almost to the day) from when we bought it!

 

Since retirement in 2020, we have been approached by many private business owners wishing to sell or improve the performance of their business.
